The core keywords for handmade soap online.

Before I start, I wanted to explain exactly how “keywords” work in case you are a beginner with anything online.

 Whenever anyone goes onto the internet and types in a search query into a search engine – or a social media site or anywhere – they are using “keywords” to get that search result fulfilled.

I then research the keyword search results so you can see who is searching for what online.

Ok, so “Core keywords” are usually the biggest search keywords and they will give you an immediate result on how popular that product or niche is.

In the training videos, I show you how to use the core keywords for the products you should be making and for your website and your social media.

In the case of handmade soap, the biggest search numbers are 22,000 per month. Bar soap alone (IE not handmade – gets 33,000 searches a month on Google.)

This proves that handmade soap is popular enough for you to start up as a business.

Closely related keyword research.

These would be keywords that are often ones that branch off slightly from the core keywords or are sometimes a different description of the same thing. This means people just call it a different thing. Like a water bottle is also a hydro flask.

In the case of handmade soap, there were not too many of these.

Perhaps handmade dish soap and handmade body wash.

I added both of those in some detail into the keywords bundle.

I think that they would be a natural extension of any soap business.

There were at least 500 of this type of keyword added to the bundle below.

Question keywords.

There were a lot of question-keywords that I collected for you and this proves that it is a popular topic and confirms that this is a great business model. In the detailed video, I show this in much more depth and in the short video above, I cover it briefly.

Use these keywords in almost all your content online. That is if you plan to create a website and do social media marketing or video marketing.

KGR keywords. and Long-tailed keywords.

Because this product or niche has so many keywords it is a given that you will find a lot of long-tailed keywords that will rank very easily if you are using them correctly.

Plus, I cannot resist pointing out that anyone who publishes the long-tailed keywords and the question keywords on a regular basis will eventually dominate this space online.

Google trends keywords research.

This one was boring. But still proved that the product gets consistent search intent.

Keyword difficulty.

Perhaps I should point out a very large aspect that is directly related to this set of keywords.

Handmade soap is always going to attract a large portion of their searches from DIY people and crafters.

People just like us.

You might find that as many as 50% of the people searching for the specific keyword or keywords are simply doing what we all do all the time, and that is learning stuff.

This will affect the “keyword Difficulty”. Keyword difficulty loosely referring to how competitive the keywords is with other advertisers.

Here is a good example

Handmade soap bars would be people most likely looking to buy soap. This is therefore estimated at 44c per click from your advertising. Now that is not too bad until you consider all the factors that affect your advertising.

Perhaps only 5% of people who click will buy. Therefore it might be costing you $2 or $3 per sale. If you sell packs or bundles and your profit margins are Ok, then this might be acceptable to your business.

Now compare that cost to the handmade soap recipes advertising cost per click. 4c a click.

Here is a thought – Create recipe bundles and make them for sale, and you might never need to make and sell soap again.

Pinterest research.

Check the videos.

It is safe to say that there is a LOT of interest here.

Please note that this platform is one I will keep telling you is the best way to get buyer traffic. This means, in this case, that you will just have to work a bit harder than everybody else.

Etsy research…

Wow!

The first five on the search results all have more than 4000 sales on average.

Just like Pinterest, this is big and very busy.

All it does is prove that there is a market and then proves how important keyword “marketing” is for this business.
