This is a really good question.
I would say yes if you need money as fast as possible.
Set up Etsy properly (see the links above) and then run social media marketing to those links.
Then, go and build your real headquarters for your craft business on a self-hosted WordPress website.
Can I choose to not bother with Etsy?
Yes, you can if you want fewer orders.
Etsy is one of the better ways for you to get orders every day.
Sure, you have fees, but Etsy does all its own marketing and has many millions of searches on its platform all the time from people looking to buy gifts and more.
Just do it.
Is it enough to just watch YouTube videos on Etsy ?
Probably not. There are a few reasons why you should trust real Etsy experts.
One, you have no clue as to what level the video creator is at in their skills.
Two, you do not have the time to watch 30 or 40 videos a day for weeks to find out through experience who knows what they are doing and who doesn’t.
Three, you should be watching cooking videos. OK, I joke, crafting videos are cool too.
